KIIT World School has been established under the aegis of Vidyapati Sansthan that was founded in 1965 and is managed by eminent educationists, social workers and philanthropists. The school’s genesis lay in the vision and ideals of Shri Baldev Raj Kamrah, an alumnus of BITS Pilani & a true Gandhian, and that of the Late Shrimati Satya Kamrah. The school is named for Shro Baldev Raj Kamrah’s determination & passion for innovation in teaching to bring about a positive change in the lives of people. Shri B. R. Kamrah’s life has been dedicated to service and philanthropy – through his association with organisations like Gandhi Gram, Delhi Social Welfare Board, Anganwadi, to name a few as well as his deep involvement with social welfare. A humanitarian, he is a committed worker of the Harijan Sewak Sangh, caretaker of Gandhi Samarak Nidhi, Rajghat and associated with Akhil Bharat Rachnatmak Samaj. Above all he is a visionary in terms of his understanding of imparting education. He recognised that education must continuously evolve with the times and built ethos of innovation that is being taken ahead even today. An exemplary leader and an extraordinary human being, Shri Kamrah has been conferred with Lifetime Achievement Award by Human Rights Council, New Delhi, and is widely recognised for his contribution to the Indian education landscape.

Dr. Sangeeta Bhatia
Dr Sangeeta Bhatia, Principal, KIIT World School, Delhi and Mentor, Happy Hours School is a recipient of the National Award to Teachers, 2008 by the President of India through MoE, Govt. of India, the CBSE National Teachers Award, 2004 and State Teachers Award, 2003. A pioneer and innovator in education, her driving force is to give every child an opportunity to build academic and extra-curricular achievements that bring out each one’s true potential. With her powerful vison for the school, many path-breaking curricular and pedagogical initiatives have created a holistic education that encompasses knowledge, skills, well-being and a love for lifelong learning. Her aim is to build a community of confident, connected, and culturally aware Indian global citizens who are equipped with the skills of the 21st century. Dr. Bhatia has also played a pivotal role in fostering partnerships with schools around the globe and facilitating cultural and educational exchanges with students in countries like South Korea, Germany, Scotland, Uganda and Poland. After graduating from Miranda House in Chemistry, Dr. Bhatia completed her Masters in Inorganic Chemistry, and then opted for a PhD in Bio Inorganic Chemistry also from Delhi University. She has served as Member, Governing Body, CBSE and Chairperson, North-West Delhi Sahodaya School Complex. She is also currently Senior Vice President, Delhi State Science Teachers’ Forum. Her deep commitment to the success and growth of her students is the mark of a true educator.
