About School
SJR Public School – Embarked on its mission, with the establishment of the Basappa Intermediate College, one of the earliest private institutions of higher learning in Karnataka. The college began from the present aim campus at Ananda Rao Circle, and grew well for 11years, after which it needed to be upgraded into a First Grade College, and therefore demanded a greater resource base for its future management,. Realizing this, Sri Rhambhapuri Peeta came forward and graciously gifted the college and the surrounding land to the Society, which resulted in the renaming of the Veerashaiva Education Society as Sri Jagadguru Renukacharya Education Society, and Basappa Intermediate College as Sri Jagadguru Renukacharya Science College in 1956.
With that turning point in 1956, The Society entered a grand new phase of expansion. New colleges, new courses, new locations, new buildings, new infrastructure, new services and new staff became the order of the day, as the management went on responding actively to the soaring demands of students, parents and others concerned about the availability of good educational facilities in Bangalore.
As a result of this steady expansion, the society today has a total strength of about 7000 students, from its 6 colleges and 3 schools in Bangalore, the latest among these being SJR Public School . Shining since six decades and more
