HISTORY OF THE SCHOOL Silver Shine School was established in 2000 under the vision of its Founder-Director, Dr. Mrs. Mithlesh Sharma, Ph.D., Triple M.A., B.Ed., M.Ed. Beginning humbly, with the unearthly commitment of its Founder-Director, the School progressed rapidly and now approaches two decades of selfless service to children. For success in any field, besides drive and commitment, truth, self sacrifice and noble ideologies are a sine qua non. In true self-giving, one gives without binding. One gives without expecting anything in return. The School found all these qualities in its founder and her team of workers. This culminated in quality education for students from all over the city of Ghaziabad and made Silver Shine School shine brighter. The approach of the School is based on the belief that continuous, incremental improvement adds up to substantial change over time. When teams or groups implement this approach, they circumvent the upheaval, unrest, and mistakes that often go hand-in-hand with major innovation. It is not surprising that the School offers some of the most modern amenities to its teachers and students. Right from spacious classrooms with cutting edge multimedia facilities, to safe and updated laboratories of all Science subjects and a well maintained campus, the School pays attention to detail at the minutest level. Special attention to health and hygiene of every child and their safety and security is the primary concern of the School. Every square inch of the School is monitored by a dedicated staff through CCTV cameras and recorded for future reference. All floors are manned throughout School hours by a trained and motivated staff of helpers. The School conducts regular workshops, seminars and lectures for improvement of the students, teachers and the staff. Uniquely the School conducts workshops for parents also so they may gain full benefits from this temple of learning their children are lucky to attend. The School Motto is Vidya Deeptam Jevanam. It is a dictum to the student that knowledge make life glow. The central charge of the crest depicts a wheel or Chakra with 24 spokes. It is considered the Dharam Chakra (Wheel of Faith) which is also known as Samay Chakra (Wheel of time or eternity). The 24 spokes in the centre represent the 24 hours of a day. The Central Torch represents the ability of everyone to serve as a guiding light for others and for the ability of education to serve as a beacon of light, eradicating ignorance. The open book is a symbol of knowledge manifested and revealed. The School Colours are Green and Yellow. Green the color of life, renewal, nature and energy, is associated with meanings of growth, harmony, freshness, safety and the environment. Yellow stands for positivity, clarity, energy, optimism, enlightenment, intellect, honour, loyalty and joy. These are the qualities that the School aspires its students to possess. The chief manifestation for every student is the cardinal virtue that every child of Silver Shine School glows with knowledge.
