“Educating the mind without educating the heart is no education at all.” – Aristotle With this thought in mind, I, Ruchika Bhasin Abrol aim to work towards the betterment & education of children. I have the privilege of being a part Mount Fort Academy, Dehradun as the Headmistress. After finishing my Masters from Edith Cowan University, Australia, I found my passion working in the field of education. With over 14 years of experience in the education industry I strive to bring out the best in education. I believe all children deserve to have a safe educational environment to learn and grow in. Working as the Principal of a junior school for over five years, I draw upon my educational experience, both as an educator and an administrator, and the support of an amazing staff of caring, talented educators, to create a unique educational environment, specially tailored for our youngest scholars. I firmly believe that our learning environment must creatively meet the specific needs of each child. Success, one child at a time – the effort to meet each child’s needs for growth socially, emotionally and academically – is ongoing and intentional. For the same we have to provide a happy and safe environment within which our students can experience opportunities inside the classroom and beyond. We foster values of courtesy, consideration, and individual responsibility, and provide both challenge and support for our little ones. With gentle care, we help shape their young minds to be ready for the world that is waiting to meet them.
