Principal
St Pauls Senior Secondary School
Fr. Cantius Ligoury

Dear Staff Members, Students, Parents and Well wishers, This is your new Principal Fr. Cantius Ligoury, writing to you this message. At the outset, I am very thankful to Rev. Fr. Jose. K. Thomas for his dedicated services to this great institution for the last five years. As he has been transferred to Ajmer, I wish him all the best in all his endeavours at his new place of work. I consider it to be a privilege to be appointed as Principal in this esteemed institution. I assure you all that I will leave no stone unturned in giving the best to this institution. One of the most touching scenes in the life of Jesus Christ was when He spoke in favour of the little children whom the disciples of Jesus wanted to chase away for fear they might disturb and annoy Him. But he told His disciples, “Let the little children come to me and do not stop them, because the Kingdom of God belongs to such as these”. Children are very close to God and loved very much by God. And therefore, children cannot be neglected by us, humans. They have to be safeguarded and protected from all possible dangers and evils. Today, we are in a very difficult and dangerous situation due to the fear of and rapid spread of the new Corona Virus. The whole world is crippled by this invisible enemy. More than anybody else, it is the children who are worst affected. The spirit of their childhood has been dampened. They are locked up in their homes. They are missing their school, their school friends, their school activities and their school teachers of course. This is the crucial time when the parents have to take the place of teachers to keep them in good cheer, to console them for the loss of their school days, and to teach them what teachers may not be able to teach online, (i.e) to be patient, to be obedient, to be loving etc. In any case, life has to go on. Let us not despair. Let us trust in the Lord. Let us hope and pray that this desperate situation may vanish soon and that better days may come back. Let us not complain that our sufferings are big, but let us confidently say that our God is big and he will not abandon us. So dear teachers and students, I am eagerly looking forward to meet you soon. Stay safe, Stay healthy. God bless you all.
