Welcome To Agrasain Balika Siksha Sadan Agrasain Balika Siksha Sadan, a modern multipurpose girls Higher Secondary School affiliated to the Council for Indian School Certificate Examinations, New Delhi, is the brain child of Sri Basudeo Tikmany who conceived about the school far back in the year 1987 and encouraged like-minded members of Agrasain Seva Samity. The necessity for a good English Medium School for complete personality development of students as per International Standards was felt by many social workers, industrialists & members of Agarwal Community in and around Howrah & Kolkata. Generous contributions from the Agarwal Community gave enormous boost to the project & within two years of the foundation laying ceremony on 25th March 1994 by the then Governor of West Bengal,His Excellency Sri K. V. Raghunath Reddy, the school opened its door for students on 3rd June 1996, with 524 girls & 25 teachers under the able stewardship ofSri S. K. Srivastava, the Principal. The school received unprecedented response from the public at large. By the beginning of the next session in April 2023, the student strength rose to more than 4900 with about 170 teachers. A group of 54 students appeared for ICSE-2000 in March 2000 & the maiden results came with 100% success. This along with the permission by the council to start ISC-12 section has put the school as one of the best girls’ schools with most modern facility on the western side of river Hooghly. In the ISC-12 section, the school has received spontaneous response from students of all schools of Howrah & Hooghly. At present there are more than 3700 students from Nursery to Class XII. Nursery has been introduced for the first time from the session 2003-04 with 3 sections. Sri S. S. Kejriwal, Chairman, Agrasain Seva Samity came forward with an idea to establish a boys school named viz M.C.Kejriwal Vidyapeeth. For this noble cause he got inspiration from Chairman Sri Basudeo Tikmany on Basant Panchami Day in February 1997, when the first Saraswati Puja was being performed in the School. The Founder Body The AGRASAIN SEVA SAMITY is a benevolent institution, founded by the members of linguistic minority viz. Marwari (Agarwal) within the meaning of Article 30 of the Constitution of India and registered as a non-profit making society under the Societies Registration Act. It is governed by a Board of Trustees. Its broad aim is allround development of the society at large. In particular, it seeks to promote the spread of education, natural regeneration and moral upliftment of the young generation to remove social evils and to upgrade the living conditions of the poor and the downtrodden.
