Gurukul Matindu, one of the oldest educational institution in India, is the brain child of Ch. Peeru Singh, an Arya Samajee reformist and freedom fighter belonging to village Matindu of district Sonipat, Haryana. It was established on 20 Jan 1915 with laying of its foundation stone by Swami Shardanand, a renowned Arya Samajee Educationist. Vision To be at par with the global institutions based on parameters of quality education and happy blend of universal and Indian values of morality, ethics and culture. Message The changing reality of the world has brought fresh challenges to the field of education. Imparting unbiased knowledge, developing skills, promoting critical thinking, focussing on communicative skills, developing creative faculty are no longer sufficient. The society is facing fresh challenges of functioning in the digital world, addressing the environmental crises and understanding the need to survive in translational world . These challenges are compounded in the rural areas. The schools are expected to maintain the ethical fabric of the rural milieu and prepare the students for the outside world. School, we focus on complete development of our students by involving them in both scholastic & co-scholastic activities as suggested by CBSE. I am sure this will help our children to realize, understand & explore their talents. In order to do this, the parents and the school authorities must work together to inculcate certain values in the students. “Sound body has a Sound Mind.” Let us allow our children to develop physically & mentally. Children learn a lot of values when they are involved in sports & games. Some of these life skills & values cannot be taught in the classroom or at home. Gurukul Sr. Sec. School provides enough opportunities for the children to participate in sports & games. If a plant is carefully nurtured by a gardener, it will become good, and produce better fruits. Therefore, children must be given a good training from their earliest childhood. We are here for the same.
