Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik inaugurated the new campus of Odia University in SatyabadiPuri district. Costing Rs 30 crore, the 9.60-acre campus near Bana Vidyalayawill focus on research and development in the Odia language. The facility includes a School of Learning, hostels, library, cafeteria, and an administration block. The university offers courses in Odia Language and Literature, Linguistics, Natural Language Processing, and Regional, Tribal Language, and Heritage Studies. CM Patnaik emphasized the significance of language and declared the present time as the "golden period of Odias." Sabita Pradhan serves as the university's first vice-chancellor. The inauguration marks a milestone in Odia language and heritage studies. Odia University offers courses covering Odia Language and Literature, Linguistics, Natural Language Processing, as well as Regional, Tribal Language, and Heritage Studies. Eminent educationist SabitaPradhan serves as the first vice-chancellor, appointed in August of the previous year.
