The Government of Kerala has allocated Rs20 crore for a new pre-matric scholarship called Maargadeepam for students in Classes 1 to 8, filling the gap left by the central government's decision to limit the pre-matric scholarship to Classes 9 and 10. Additionally, the state budget includes provisions for upgrading schools, supporting institutions for intellectually challenged children, infrastructure development in higher secondary schools, and addressing AI-generated fake news awareness. There are also plans for interdisciplinary research centers in government engineering colleges and a pilot project for stem cell therapy in a government medical college. Furthermore, the state plans to establish interdisciplinary research centersin government engineering colleges to promote innovation and research. Additionally, Rs 1.5 crore has been earmarked for a pilot project introducing stem cell therapy at Government Medical College, Kottayam.
