The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati, in collaboration with the Assam government, organized a five-day orientation and residential teacher training program for 110 school students. Approximately 45% of the participants were female, aligning with efforts to boost female participation in STEM subjects. The program, conducted in partnership with the Assam Science Technology and Environment Council (ASTEC), aims to select over 100 students annually from the state and empower them with experiential learning methodologies in STEM topics. Assam's Health Minister emphasized the program's value in fostering students' understanding of core concepts and values.
