Amid heavy rainfall, Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao asked the state education minister P Sabhita Indra Reddy to announce a school holiday for Friday, July 28. Schools across Telangana were already closed on July 26 and 27 due to rain. The news was announced on the official Twitter handle of the CM. It reads, "In view of incessant heavy to very heavy rains in the state, Hon'ble Chief Minister Sri K. Chandrashekar Rao has instructed Education Minister Smt. @SabithalndraTRS to declare a holiday to all educational institutions for tomorrow (Friday) and issue necessary orders immediately." As per the details, a red alert has been issued for eight districts.
