Union Minister of Education and Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, Dharmendra Pradhan, and Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai jointly inaugurated 211 PM SHRI schools in Raipur on February 19. This move represents a significant step forward in the education sector. Pradhan expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his dedication to strengthening the education ecosystem through programs like PM SHRI. He underscored the importance of critical thinking for student success and commended Chhattisgarh's commitment to improving its education system. The event was attended by several dignitaries, including Chhattisgarh Minister of Education, Brijmohan Aggarwal, and Members of Parliament Sunil Soni, Rajesh MunatPurandar Mishra. Pradhan highlighted the significance of learning in the mother tongue and announced the introduction of Balvatika in schools to aid children's development. He also stressed the inclusion of skills, vocational studies, and extracurricular activities alongside academic subjects. In addition to inaugurating the PM SHRI schools, Pradhan launched a Digital Library for Kendriya Vidyalaya and Virtual Reality labs for Navodaya Vidyalaya. An exhibition showcasing students' work was also part of the event, along with the screening of three short films on PM SHRI YojanaKendriyaVidyalaya, and Navodaya Vidyalaya.
