My journey in education began with a deep-seated belief in its transformative power. I was fortunate to be exposed to diverse educational frameworks, with my foundational years in Singapore, and my advanced studies at institutions like Stanford and King's College, London. These experiences broadened my perspective and instilled a global outlook that has fundamentally shaped my approach to education. The pivotal moment that motivated me to step into and excel in the education sector was the obvious and significant gap between academics and real-world application. I saw an opportunity to revolutionise traditional educational models, making them more relevant, engaging, and practical for today’s generation. In terms of changes I've introduced, my focus has been on integrating innovation, creativity, critical thinking and design thinking into our curriculum. At Ekya Schools, we've moved away from rote memorisation, favouring an inquiry-based approach that encourages students to question, explore, and engage with their learning.
