The annual regular examination of class 11 in the soft zone area has been postponed by the Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) on March 28. The board has also revised the examination schedule for classes 10th, 11th, and 12th in hard zone areas. This decision came from the board to prevent any overlap with the Lok Sabha Elections 2024. In an official notification, Board of School Education Director Academics stated that it received instructions from the Joint Chief Electoral Officer of J&K (Jammu) regarding the schedule for the conduct of the Lok Sabha Election 2024, requesting to ensure that no date of examination clashes with the dates of election in the UT of Jammu and Kashmir. “All the concerned are informed that the upcoming class 11th annual regular examination 2024 in Soft Zone and Annual Regular 2024 examinations of classes 10th, 11th, and 12th in Hard Zone Areas have been revised. With that said, examination shall be now held on rescheduled dates in two Sessions i.e., morning and evening shift,” reads the official notification.
