Bihar’s Additional Chief Secretary IAS KK Pathak has been making news for his steps in ending the laxity of the education department in the state. He reduced the number of holidays allotted to teachers and also brought in changes to school timings. And now, due to a new ruling, teachers will have to work even during the summer vacations. The new academic session has started in all schools in Bihar from April 1. On the initiative of KK Pathak, the Education Department has started a campaign to start enrolment and studies for the academic session 2024-25 from the very first day, which will run till June 30. This task has been given to teachers of 72,000 primary and secondary schools in Bihar. Teachers have been given the responsibility of finding out about such children in the neighbourhood who are not coming to school or have left their studies. The District Magistrate will monitor this task. KK Pathak has already assigned the task to teachers to arrange special classes for the students of classes 5th and 8th who are struggling or have failed in their studies during the summer break.
