The University Grants Commission (UGC) chairman Mamidala Jagadesh Kumar has informed that the UGC National Eligibility Test (UGC NET 2024) June registration is expected to begin today or tomorrow, April 20. Once the registration begins, interested applicants will be able to fill the UGC NET 2024 June application form by visiting the official website, ugcnet.nta.ac.in. In a latest update, the UGC chairman posted on X: “NTA will likely launch the application process and information bulletin for the UGC-NET June 2024 session by tonight or tomorrow.” The UGC NET is a national-level examination administered to assess candidates' eligibility for the position of Assistant Professor, or for both the Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Assistant Professor roles in Indian universities and colleges. In the previous year, a total of 9,45,918 candidates registered for the UGC NET December 2023 examination, out of which 6,95,928 appeared for the exam across 292 cities nationwide. The exams took place from December 6 to December 14. Initially scheduled to be announced on January 10, the results were postponed to January 17 for reasons unknown. Further delays ensued due to technical difficulties.
