The Office of District Magistrate, Gurugram, has ordered the closure of all schools and educational institutions in the Sohnasubdivision on August 2 due to communal tension in the neighboring Nuh district. The tension arose when a mob attempted to stop a Vishva Hindu Parishad procession, resulting in five deaths and several injuries. In response, the Haryana government suspended mobile internet services in Nuh to control the situation. To ensure the safety of students, the closure of educational institutions in Sohnahas been deemed necessary. The deputy commissioner of Gurugram also urged the public to avoid posting content on social media that may incite religious sentiments or threaten harmony.
