Union Minister of State for Education, SubhasSarkar, has confirmed that the Central Universities Entrance Test (CUET) assesses students from different boards on an equal footing. CUET was introduced in the academic year 2022-23 to ease the burden on students, universities, and the education system. The test syllabus is based on a general understanding of subjects at the class 12 level and is not limited to the CBSE syllabus. The minister clarified that there are no plans to scrap any school board and mandate a single board for class 12 exams before appearing for CUET.
