The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) and the Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICMAI) have jointly launched Diploma in Agricultural Cost Management (DACM). This programme offers a comprehensive curriculum designed to prepare individuals for various roles in the agricultural sector, ranging from farm management to entrepreneurship and organisational leadership. The Open University has invited applications for admissions to the diploma programme for the July 2024 intake. Interested candidates can apply online at the official IGNOU admission portal, ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in.  Students who have cleared the Class 12 or equivalent exam will be eligible for the IGNOU's diploma programme. The course duration ranges from one to three years. This programme targets urban and rural youth, small and medium entrepreneurs, farmers' organisations, NGO functionaries, trainers, and progressive farmers. It aims to educate and train learners to manage farm costs efficiently and enhance agricultural productivity.
