The Manonmaniam Sundaranar University in Tirunelveli, Tamil Nadu, has announced the postponement of the State Level Eligibility Test (SET) examination scheduled for June 7th and 8th, 2024, due to technical reasons. The examination, which was intended to serve as a qualifying criterion for aspiring assistant professors in universities and colleges across Tamil Nadu, will now be rescheduled, with the revised date to be communicated later. The SET examination is an essential requirement for individuals aspiring to work as assistant professors in educational institutions within Tamil Nadu. Conducted by various universities on a rotational basis, this year's responsibility was entrusted to the Manonmaniam Sundaranar University. The university had released the SET exam notification, and the application deadline was extended twice, with May 15th finally set as the last day for submissions. Approximately 100,000 candidates had applied to participate in the SET exam across the state. Candidates are advised to stay updated with official announcements from the university regarding the rescheduled dates for the SET examination.
