The University Grants Commission is all set to conduct the National Eligibility Test (NET) on June 18 2024, Tuesday. The UGC is expected to release the admit cards for the UGC NET June 2024 exam on 15th June, while the exam city information slip has been released today, 7th June. The UGC NET exam acts as a uniform examination to determine a candidate's suitability for an assistant professor post in Indian colleges and universities. Additionally it acts as an eligibility test for the Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), or for both the JRF and the assistant professorship. The UGC NET exam consists of Papers 1 and 2. According to the official UGC NET 2024 exam schedule, both papers have offline multiple-choice questions (MCQs). Candidates have three hours to finish both papers in one sitting. The UGC NET Exam Pattern for Paper I is aimed at evaluating the teaching aptitude and reasoning ability of candidates.  Each section contributes equally to a total of 50 questions and 100 marks in UGC NET Paper I.
