The University College London (UCL) has launched the UCL India Excellence Scholarships, a program that will provide £5,000 each to 100 outstanding Indian students pursuing full-time Master's degrees. The scholarships aim to strengthen the university's connection with Indian students and enhance diversity. Thirty-three scholarships will be awarded for the 2024–25 academic year, with an additional 67 over the following two years. UCL President and Provost, Dr. Michael Spence, highlighted the university's commitment to supporting Indian students and fostering a global community. The initiative was officially launched in India, accompanied by the announcement of the inaugural UCL India Summer School scheduled for June 2024.
