The Odisha government and SVKM trust have signed a Rs 300 crore MoU to establish NMIMS University in Bhubaneswar. The university will be set up on 40 acres of land allocated by the Odisha government in GoudakashipurJatniBhubaneswar. The land, provided on a lease for an initial period of 30 years (extendable for another 30 years), comes with significant exemptions, including free registration and exemption from annual maintenance charges. The collaboration aims to enhance higher education opportunities in the state, with the initiative seen as a transformative step toward expanding educational options in Odisha. The Minister of Higher Education emphasized the profound impact of this partnership on the state's Higher Education Department and its commitment to improving the quality of higher education.
