Oxford University Press India (OUPI) has developed a wellness curriculum called 'My Happiness and Me' for students in classes 1-8. The series of eight activity workbooks is designed to assist children in understanding emotions, building an active body, developing healthy relationships, and recognizing the importance of ecological care. Aligned with the National Education Policy 2020 and the National Curriculum Framework 2023, the curriculum addresses holistic development. The series covers topics such as managing emotions, recognizing good and bad touch, addressing issues like bullying and gender discrimination, and promoting overall well-being. The approach has been validated by the Oxford Impact Study, indicating positive effects on learner engagement and success, reduced dropout rates, and increased self-efficacy and self-esteem levels. The curriculum is expected to contribute to shaping well-rounded individuals.
