History

The school is managed by The Wynberg Homes Society, a society registered under the Societies Act of 1860. Under the guidance of the Society, the school has continued to flourish and progress and has firmly established itself as an educational institution that ranks among the finest in the country and which continues to develop and improve - true to the school motto-Excelsior. It runs from January to December, and the academic year during which the students are in residence and attend classes extends nor- mally from March to November.

From the Principal's desk

We have always looked beyond the trimmings and made human endeavour our focus. We boast of having released young people into this increasingly bewildering world who uphold the central tenets of a truly inclusive society -empa- thy, sympathy, generosity, humility and kindness. This is far more than just the sum total of buildings and procedures. We are extremely proud of the 'heart' of the school - our students and their discipline, happiness and approach to life. I welcome all to visit our campus on a working day and experience what life at Wynberg-Allen is like. We would be happy to facilitate the visit if you so wish. Excelsior!

Campus Life:

Wynberg-Allen School fosters a vibrant campus life by en- couraging students to participate in extracurricular activi- ties and contribute to society. They collect plastic waste from the hillside of Mussoorie weekly, which is then sent to the Municipal Authority for recycling. Students also help blind children, orphans, the destitute, and mentally ill pa- tients by visiting their relief centres and orphanages. Other activities include book fairs, music concerts, fancy fairs, cul- tural festivals, business festivals, science quizzes, chess competitions, hockey tournaments, swimming competi- tions, and athletic meets. These events keep students cul- turally active and gainfully employed.
