The Uttar Pradesh government has changed the school timings in the state due to prevailing cold wave conditions.  As per an order issued by the director of secondary education, secondary classes of UP schools affiliated to all boards will now operate from 10 am till 3 pm for up to Class 12 instead of 8:50 am to 2:50 pm. The Uttar Pradesh school timings were revised for certain regions earlier as well. As per a December 27 order, in Ghaziabad, Classes 1 to 8 were supposed to begin at 10 am and end at 3 pm. The same applied to schools in Mathura. Moroever, the state government had announced school holidays for all boards on December 28 and 29 in Aligarh.
