Minister for School Education Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi launched the Nalam Naadi app in Chennai to assist special educators in tracking students with learning disabilities. The app is part of the Education Management Information System (EMIS) and allows teachers to input health screening data for students. Special educators use the app to re-check flagged disabilities and refer confirmed cases to district-level intervention centers. Additionally, the Minister initiated Direct Debit Transfer (DBT) for students in certain schools, providing ₹200 per month to 9,870 students to support higher education. A grievance redressal portal was also introduced for teachers in government-aided schools to address their concerns separately from government school teachers.
