The Government of Kerala will host the Global Science Festival Kerala (GSFK) from January 15 to February 15. The event will feature public talks by Nobel laureate Morten P Meldal and scientists from NASA, ISRO, and other institutions. It includes discussions by Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar Prize winners, a talk series on geosciences and science communication, and a conference by IISER. The interdisciplinary festival aims to blend science with art, design, and music. Entry fees start at Rs 250 per day for adults and Rs 150 for students above 10 years. The event, jointly organized by the Department of Science and Technology, Kerala State Council for Science, and Amuseum Artscience, will also offer activities like tenting and skywatching for additional fees. The GSFK is organized jointly by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of Kerala; Kerala State Council for Science, Technology and Environment; and Amuseum Artscience, a private museum in Thiruvananthapuram. The event will have an entry fee starting from Rs 250 per day for adults and Rs 150 per day for students aged 10 and above, with additional fees for activities such as tenting and skywatching. Children below 10 years old can attend for free.
