Earlier, a document posing as the Tamil Nadu Government Education Department timetable was spread on social media platforms claiming that the State Education Department has decided not to conduct annual exams for Classes 1 to 5 and that annual exams will be conducted for 6th to 9th standard students between May 5 and May 13. Speaking on the issue, Minister Anbil Mahesh stated that the exam will definitely be conducted. “Final exams will definitely be conducted for Classes 1 to 9 and public exams will be conducted for 10th, 11th, and 12th students. Regarding the reduced time frame, we’ve already reduced portions to 35 – 55% and based on that, exams will be conducted. Do not believe in rumours”, he stated.
